While we’re waiting for the next trio of episodes from Tattoo Age (which will be featuring Thom DeVita, FYI) – here’s some bonus footage: Valerie Vargas visiting with Lal Hardy. Enjoy!

I don’t know anything about Native Shoes, but it’s awesome to see companies outside of tattooing supporting tattoo artists. Not only did Native Shoes make this video, they also plastered Bappu all over their website.
This video features Bappu talking about his start in tattooing, and the first tattoo that he did.

The best thing about the shifting of the seasons (in this hemisphere, at least) is that the shittier the weather gets, the better the videos get. I was super psyched to see Marcus Kuhn’s delivered another installment of ‘The Gypsy Gentleman’ filmed in London, featuring Valerie Vargas and Ian Flower.
I wasn’t going to post this until tomorrow – but seeing how half the internet is trying to tell me I should be battening down the hatches in preparation for Hurricane Sandy I figured better now than (possibly) never.

The final installment of Mutsuo‘s three-parter is now live over at Vice. In this episode, Mutsuo reflects on tattooing in Japan: the blurry line of legality, the lingering prejudice against tattooed individuals – including how people with tattoos are not welcome in public baths, beaches, pools, etc.
Mutsuo goes deep while musing on why tattooing makes him happy, providing us with his thoughts on spirituality, bringing the Vice staff to local temples in his hometown and introducing them to his family.
This might be my favorite Tattoo Age episode yet – but I always say that. (And then get wow’ed by each subsequent episode.)
