Flashback Friday: Ink & Dagger Tattoo presents Man Day

November 15th, 2013 by Kevin -

If you don’t remember Man Day, I would strongly encourage you to take a stroll down memory lane.  There’s a rumor that there might be a Man Day in 2014…

Timelapse with Shawn Barber

November 12th, 2013 by Kevin -

After years of admiring his paintings and tattoo work, I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn Barber in August. Shawn was at the Seattle Tattoo Expo, and I was lucky enough to watch him work on several pieces over the weekend. Watching Shawn tattoo was something else, and Sullen Clothing captured it perfectly in the video below.

Mildly NSFW: Post P-INK

November 8th, 2013 by Julene Huffman -

Breast cancer awareness month may be over, but the number of women that choose to tattoo their breasts post-mastectomy is clearly on the rise. Photos of tattooers and clients at last month’s crowd-funded P.INK DAY 2013 at Saved Tattoo in Brooklyn really warmed my heart. The pictures, which are mildly NSFW, can be seen here.

The money you donate to P-INK allows them to fund the work of tattooers like Stephanie Tamez, Virginia Elwood, Roxx, Colby Butler (seen in the video below) and other greats — and that’s a cause I think we should all be backing year-round.

Portfolio Peek with Rember Orellana

October 28th, 2013 by Kevin -

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Rember Orellana, and seeing some of his work in person. Two of the pieces are actually featured in the interview below. Why Rember hasn’t received more publicity is beyond me, but hopefully this video highlights his incredible work.

Oh, and as always, thanks to Sullen Clothing for the great video.

James Tex and Steve Moore get together

The Calgary Tattoo Convention went down this past weekend, and here’s the first video to surface. My two favorite Canadians, James Tex and Steve Moore got together on this back piece and went all in. It’s pretty crazy to see how much they were able to knock out…

The first episode of London Reese

October 18th, 2013 by Kevin -

This video of London Reese features London tattooing, talking about tattooing and art. This video is not your normal tattoo video, as it actually shows London tattooing a number of different pieces versus one specific piece. Here’s what London had to say about the video:

I will be filming and posting new videos periodically, and sharing my latest projects and thoughts! Please tell me what you think about episode 1! Also, I would love some feedback and ideas for what you guys would like to see and hear in future videos! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! Thank you for the continued love and support.
