Get to know Jack Gallowtree

May 30th, 2014 by Kevin -

I always dig these videos like these. It’s only four minutes long, but it gives you a good chance to learn more about Jack Gallowtree, but it’s not his entire life story.

I need to meet Josh Payne

May 23rd, 2014 by Kevin -

I’ve been looking at Josh Payne’s work for over two years now and I know we’ve been at the same place, at the same time – but I still haven’t met Josh. This video isn’t the same as meeting him, but it gives me a better idea of who Josh is and it reaffirms that I definitely need to meet him one of this days.

This is amazing. We need more Scott Campbell’s in the world. Head over to the Free Arts NYC website to learn more about this program, and what Scott’s doing to make an impact for the city’s underprivileged youth.

Under the Skin with Liz Cook

May 13th, 2014 by Kevin -

I’ve been a fan of  Liz Cook’s work, but I never knew much about her. That’s different now with this ‘Under the Skin’ video. It’s interesting to learn a little more about Liz, how she got started in tattooing, her shop, and how she views her style.

As always, thanks to Sullen Clothing for these videos.

Marked: The Russian Prison Tattoo Documentary

May 9th, 2014 by Kevin -

You’re probably familiar with the Russian Criminal Tattoo Encyclopedia. At this point, I think it’s safe to say they’ve reached legendary status. What goes with criminals? Well, prisons obviously. Below is the documentary of the Russian prison tattoo movement.

At forty-five minutes long, it’s longer than your average Youtube video but that’s why I’m posting it on Friday night. Don’t worry, I’m not judging.

Experience the Internationale Tattoo-Convention Frankfurt

May 8th, 2014 by Kevin -

The Internationale Tattoo-Convention Frankfurt took place last month, and Sullen Clothing was there (as always) and shot some amazing footage (as always.)

They shot so much amazing footage, it’s spread across three videos. The list of attending artists was ridiculous, so don’t be surprised if you start one and end up watching all three.
