Lost in Translation

April 16th, 2012 by Julene Huffman -

I have no idea what the actual English translation for this shop name is (“tattoos innormizm” sounds made up) — I’m not sure what to call the tattoo below. Except just interesting. Thoughts?

Before you say it

Before you say it, Dmitry was clear to point out this is not a copy of Derek Nobbs art,  but inspired by his artwork. This tattoo is based on Russian history.

Poppies are poison

April 3rd, 2012 by Julene Huffman -

Flower tattoos can be hard to talk about at length — they’re pretty, everyone gets it. The skulls in these poppy buds make for a nice, unexpected addition to this tattoo.

I have a (pipe) dream

March 30th, 2012 by Kevin -

Last night I bought seven tickets for the Mega Millions lottery. Hopefully when those five magical numbers are drawn tomorrow night, I’ll be the lucky winner of $540 million dollars. I spent a good fifteen minutes thinking about what I would do with all of my money, and I couldn’t decide between a tattoo world tour or the most ridiculous tattoo convention ever.

What’s the point of this? While I still haven’t decided what my earnings will be spent on, I can promise that Den Yakovlev will be invited.

26 Hours

March 26th, 2012 by Julene Huffman -

It’s been a hot minute since we posted anything from Oleg Turyanskiy – and I think the piece below is a great way to break the fast. According to Oleg’s post, this is a healed photo after 26 hours worth of work. Looks like time (and money) well spent to me!

Fox Day: Cunning like a…

August 11th, 2011 by Kevin -

I just went to the Tattoo Angel webpage to look for something interesting about Pavel, but the website is in all Russian. Instead of trying to find a poor translation website, I’m just going to call this the start of ‘Fox Day’ and hope you enjoy.
