Your take on Toko

I don’t know what to say about Toko Loren’s work, because it kinda speaks for itself. The ”it’s a bit like Marmite” line I used when talking about Gray Silva’s work may apply here, too. What’s your take?

The Xoïl (aka Loïc) Interview

Trust me when I say you’ll know if a tattoo was been done by Xoïl on sight. His work with the graphic style is distinct; there’s a reason he’s one of the first people to come to mind whenever I talk about a style that’s usually just referred to as ‘Photoshop’.

Keeping with Tattoo Snob’s mission to bring a greater understanding (and possibly, appreciation) of  tattooing worldwide, I think the Photoshop/graphic style is an important one to keep an eye on. This stuff is a far cry from traditional tattooing–and that’s what I like about it.

The wolf looks…

Xoil is one of those tattooers that’s always going places and doing cool things. In this case, rolling through Jolie Rouge in London to shell out his very interesting approach to tattooing.

For those of you that are dying to know, the text reads, “Fear makes the wolf look bigger. ”

City skyline

While Xoil calls France home, this lovely skyline was done at Tattoo Culture here in Brooklyn, NY.

Just like Photoshop

Apparently I’m not the only one that spent hours dicking around with brushes in Photoshop growing up… though I have to admit, Xoil’s creations turn out a lot better looking than mine ever did.
