Tattoo Underground recently filmed a short film featuring Shawn Hebrank. The short film was featured in the Minneapolis Underground Film Festival, and can now be seen on the Tattoo Underground Facebook page. The film takes a deep dive into the emotional connections between Shawn’s client and her sleeve. Unfortunately I can’t embed it here on the site, but head over to their Facebook page.
Here’s what Shawn had to say about the video:
Way back in January, I got a phone call about a documentary that was being started on the stories behind tattoos. I didn’t have much interest
(because, you know, blah, blah, blah) but I did give them the contact info of one of my favorite clients, Pamala, who gets all the anthropomorphic knitting tattoos. Fast forward to just this past Sunday, Meryl, Handsome Adam and I went to St Anthony on Main for the premiere. It’s super short (just 12 minutes), but it’s really well done, and features Pamala and her Blue Point Siamese cat knitting. I mean, really, the cat is a character, too. And then my name is in the credits. Pretty crazy.
