Around the same time that BME posted an article about realism tattoos, Russ Abbott posted some of his older pieces and tagged them #TattooLongevity. Russ encouraged other artists to tag older pieces and tag them #TattooLongevity with the age of the tattoo. The results have been interesting, but I’ve been waiting for an artist who primarily tattoos portraits to share one.

Last night Kyle Cotterman posted this three year old piece with the #TattooLongevity tag. Oh, and this is a healed picture without a filter.

When it comes to lettering, I can generally name a top five artists off the top of my head, and Justin “Big Meas” Wilson has entered that list in the last year. Big Meas continues to lay down clean lines and a unique style to give himself a name in the tattoo world.

Even if you’re not into lettering, I suggest you check this video out. This is one of the best videos I’ve seen recently.

I’m a little disappointed this is the first John Lennon tattoo we’ve posted. I just wish we had a bigger and better picture.
