Check it: the Heikegani crab’s shell bears resemblance to a face. Local lore claims these crabs are reincarnations of Japanese Heike warriors.

April 16th, 2012 One my favorites from Chicago
The Chicago Tattoo Arts Convention was this past weekend, and there was a lot of amazing work being posted online. This particular piece is by David Tevenal, and one of my favorites. I believe this also took home an award for best color on Friday or Saturday.

Despite the size of this photo, I know this piece is huge. Which is just as it should be, since having a tattoo of a tiny Godzilla makes almost no sense at all.
