Mildly NSFW: Post P-INK

Breast cancer awareness month may be over, but the number of women that choose to tattoo their breasts post-mastectomy is clearly on the rise. Photos of tattooers and clients at last month’s crowd-funded P.INK DAY 2013 at Saved Tattoo in Brooklyn really warmed my heart. The pictures, which are mildly NSFW, can be seen here.

The money you donate to P-INK allows them to fund the work of tattooers like Stephanie Tamez, Virginia Elwood, Roxx, Colby Butler (seen in the video below) and other greats — and that’s a cause I think we should all be backing year-round.

Home is where the wooden statue is

I know there are several infamous statues around the United States similar to the one below, but I don’t know where exactly this one is located. Does anyone off hand?

On a side note, I would love to hear the history behind these wooden statues being located in piers throughout the country.
