A Pink Flamingo and a Chameleon?

I’m not sure what a pink flamingo and chameleon have to do with each other, but they seem to work well together.

If you’ve been to a tattoo convention, chances are you’ve seen the crew from My Tattoo. The My Tattoo crew is a group of talented crazy artists, and the piece below is proof what they can do.

See nothing (and everything) at Bound for Glory Tattoo

August 13th, 2014 by Kevin -

Here’s a pretty funny (and pointless) video from Bound for Glory Tattoo in Staten Island, New York. It’s good to see a tattoo studio have fun, and do something silly.

On a completely unrelated note, the original Bound for Glory Tattoo Instagram page is no longer in use. You can find their new page at @BoundforGlory_NYC, and they’re updating it on a regular basis.

The Fishy Donut

I don’t know what fish and donuts have to do together, but it’s an interesting tattoo regardless.

Out of the Ordinary

August 11th, 2014 by Kevin -

From the first look, you can tell this sleeve isn’t your ‘ordinary’ sleeve. Matt Lang added a little bit of commentary:

This piece has no deep meaning or even a a real theme but it was fun to step out of the box and not use constantly recycled imagery.

Experience the Jim Sylvia Experience

August 11th, 2014 by Kevin -

“Jim Sylvia the Custom Experience” is a short form documentary brought to you by COTU Media. It is an introduction into the world of Studio City based tattoo artist, Jim Sylvia, as he expresses his passion for tattoo and looks back on the early stages of his tattoo career. Now with over 13 years of tattoo experience, he has established a home base with fellow artists and friends at Unbreakable Tattoo in Studio City, CA.

The documentary maintains a casual tone due to how it was developed. Having spent over twenty hours of tattoo time previously with Jim Sylvia, producer and editor Chelsea Kroeker asked if he would design and tattoo another piece but this time wearing a microphone. Tolerating a single camera man and a small series of questions, Jim Sylvia unraveled his story while tattooing our producer. What you see in this short documentary is a condensed version of two tattoo sessions and over five hours of conversation between client and artist. COTU MEDIA is proud to present this unique experience with you. Watch and enjoy!

The Berlin Tattoo Convention Video

This is by far the best tattoo convention I’ve seen in a long, long, long time.
