All about Japan: I Stand with Japan

March 22nd, 2011 by Kevin -

One of the first shirts to hit the market is courtesy of State of Grace Tattoo in San Jose, CA. Here’s what they had to say about the ‘I Stand with Japan’ shirt:

We have all watched in horror at the devastation following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Like many people within the tattoo community, we wanted a way to show our support and solidarity. As luck would have it, Chad Koeplinger from New York Adorned was in town and excited to lend his illustrative talents to this shirt collaboration. Roman Enriquez of Strong Tattoo started it off by donating 100 shirts and screen printing. Tamiko and Miles Rast from Rasteroids Design, Suzanna Enriquez, Phillip Nguyen, Charlie Ngo and Colin Baker volunteered their time as well. We hope to raise some money for those in need and state prominently that we STAND WITH JAPAN.

All proceeds from this shirt will be donated to the relief efforts in Japan, and are currently for sale online.

To Die For Clothing x Dan Smith

To Die For Clothing announced a collaboration shirt with Dan Smith earlier today. The shirt is already for sale on their online store, and comes in the three colors below.

Dan Smith is one of the many tattoo artists in the To Die For Family. I’m sure we’ll see more collaboration shirts in the future involving other tattoo artists.

Stay warm with PluraBella

Kore Flatmo has been posting pictures of his new apparel on the PluraBella Facebook page all week. While it’s not in the online store yet, it should be soon (according to his Facebook.)

Here’s my favorite piece that I’ve seen so far. While everyone makes a t-shirt, it’s sometimes hard to find a nice sweatshirt.

Gypsy girl and skullerflies

I’m totally digging this Gypsy Girl with Skullerflies’ print ($50) from David Bruehl. Only 20 were made–I can hardly think of a better way to tell the lady in your life that you think she’s really great.

Do you have Cranial Visions?

Every coffee table deserves one good staple book for you to browse through. I’ve heard amazing things about Mike DeVries’ new release: Cranial Visions ($70).

Featuring work from an extensive (not to mention impressive) list of artists, this is definitely a splurge-worthy gift to give yourself over the holidays.

Dear throat tattoo guy

Warning: artsy blog plug (unpaid) ahead… Missed Connections NY. It’s a series of paintings based on the ‘Missed Connections’ posts on the NY Craigslist. The ‘throat tattoo guy’ print ($40) is quickly becoming my favorite for obvious reasons.
