Featured Artist: Paul Marino

September 23rd, 2010 by Julene Huffman -

The funny thing about running a tattoo blog is the sheer number of people you see on here that I find by accident. I found Paul Marino‘s work originally after playing a game of “who’s that in your Top 8?” on several tattooers’ Myspace profiles. The first tattoo of his I remember seeing was this Young Frankenstein piece – but it certainly wasn’t the last one I took note of.

After posting a handful of tattoos from Paul, I realized I needed to take it a step further. He took the time to answer a few of my questions so we could all get to know him a little bit better.

Featured Artist: H-Bomb, a.k.a Heather McLean

September 9th, 2010 by Julene Huffman -

Between her tattoos & her mural work, Heather McLean (also known as H-Bomb) is an artist all Tattoo Snobs should take note 0f. The response he has received online to his unique style of tattooing is astonishing, much like his practice of booking no more than two months out. With less than 10 years in the industry under his belt, his level of skill can only be attributed to natural talent, despite his frequent protests that he’s “not an artist”.

Featured Artist: Timmy B

July 14th, 2010 by Kevin -

At the Richmond Tattoo Show last year (2009), I was told to check out a portfolio from a guy by the name of Timmy B. He wasn’t at his booth, but I looked through photos of his work –I was impressed, to say the least. As he approached the booth, I was shocked to see someone under the age of forty standing before me. At only twenty-three years old, Timmy has become the talk of the east coast over the past few years. This could be credited to his relentless travel schedule, but I think with work like his it was just a matter of time before his name was on the tip of everyone’s tongue.
