This sleeve below was a work in progress for over a year. I was lucky enough to see the piece take place, and watch progress month by month. Even though I got to see it first hand, the final product was still jaw dropping. We caught up with Russ Abbott and asked him a few questions about the project, large tattoo projects in general, and how soon you can get a tattoo by Russ. Click below to read our full interview with Russ.

Earlier this week, Durb Morrison announced on Instagram that RedTree Tattoo Gallery would be opening a second location in Phoenix, Arizona. In the same announcement, Durb officially stated he would be relocating to Phoenix. This is obviously a huge announcement, as Durb is a leader in the Ohio tattoo scene and the tattoo industry as a whole.
To find out more about this news, we caught up with Durb Morrison and asked him a couple questions.

When we talk about pop culture references in tattooing, the name Zane Donnellan should ring a bell — but you’re more likely to know him as Gooney Toons, the cartoon tattoo wunderkind hailing from STR Body Modifications in Wyong, NSW, Australia.

I’ve been following Danny’s work for years, and finally crossed paths with him this summer. I’ve always admired his hard work and approach to the art, and I’m proud we’re featuring his work on Tattoo Snob. I always knew that Danny was one of the good guys in tattooing, and this interview does nothing if not reinforce that.

A while back, we posted an open call for interview questions for Dave Tevenal on Instagram and Facebook. We sent Dave more than 200 questions and he picked his favorites to answer. Those of you whose questions were chosen should get at us in the comments below for your (much coveted) Tattoo Snob sticker.

If you follow tattoo or tattooer art online, I can guarantee you’ve come across Dave Tevenal’s work. Last year his Vimeo video went viral in the art world and racked up a bajillion views. I’ve wanted to interview Dave for a while, and I’ve wanted to get tattooed by for even longer. For whatever reason, the stars never aligned in the sky to make either one happen until last month.
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Dave a little over the last few years, and I’m extremely proud of this inter view – not for the website or my own self interest, but because Dave’s one of the hardest working guys I know.
