Good Nite

Looking for something fun but fairly inexpensive for the holiday season? Have no fear, I stumbled upon these knuckle tattoo pillow cases. These are exactly what you need, whether you’re trying to accessorize that special someones dorm room, or you’re just getting a quirky gift for that tattooed friend that has everything.

I’m actually a little disappointed this isn’t included in the Miami Ink bedroom set.

Tattooed Pooch

Looking for that perfect gift for your four legged friend?

Well look no further, as the Tattooed Pooch has you covered. Calm down PETA lovers, no animals are actually tattooed here. Instead the Tattooed Pooch helps your fur ball friend be hip and stylish with tattoo related bowls, collars, leashes, and even picture frames.

I’m not going to lie, the stuff is a little pricey, but it’s quality stuff. The leashes and collars are quality leather, and everything is hand painted. To help take the edge off the price, the Tattooed Pooch is taking 20% off when you use the code word “XMAS.”

Here’s an example of some of their products:

The doctor is in . .

On Friday, I’ll be traveling to Deluxe Tattoo for the day, while a friend gets tattooed by Hannah Aitchison.

Speaking of Hannah, she recently updated her site with all new merchandise.

Did you know the phrase “The doctor is in . . ” came from the Peanuts? Apparently Lucy distributed psychiatric advice from a cardboard box that looked a great deal like a cartoon lemonade stand. She had a sign on it indicating the “Doctor’s” availability. The sign read “The Doctor is in . .”

Beautiful outtake

Sharon, A.K.A. Ms. February, posted an outtake from the 2010 Sailor Jerry Calendar. Sorry about the poor picture quality, but I had to post it. I don’t know what it is, there’s just something about that homely tan bikini, especially when you see it on a real woman.

Below the picture is a new commercial from the Sailor Jerry brand. It looks like some video of the calendar shoot is edited in there as well . . . .

Ding!

IMG_6903

Last month, I decided to treat myself to a new laptop. With the amount of time I spend on a computer writing entries, and generally wasting time, I easily justified the purchase. I don’t need anything fancy, so I just bought myself a basic Macbook.Between traveling and tossing it around, I figured I could use a cover for it as well. I might as well put one on now, as the computer was brand new and all. I’ve seen a number of tattoo artists mention they did designs for Ding, so I took the plunge and checked out the site.

The site has a separate section for tattoo artists, and they fill it up nicely. They have designs from a number of artists, and several tattoo related companies. Each design comes in a version to fit your cell phone, laptop, iPod, or gaming device. They even make covers for your Guitar Hero controller.

The laptop cover costs around $30, but coupons aren’t hard to find (check their Twitter.) I think when everything was said and done, I ended paying around $27 for the cover. After ordering it, it took about fourteen days to come in with standard shipping. Once it was here, it only took a few seconds to apply. It doesn’t use glue or anything that’ll ruin your device, but yet it doesn’t easily come off either. Don’t ask me that works – it just does.

Overall, it’s a decent way to protect your device and support a tattoo artist at the same time. It beats the gem encrusted alternative for sure.
