There’s no doubt Stefan is a badass. I’m really excited we’re able to share his work with everyone. Completely unrelated to this, let me ask – did you know of Stefan before you saw his work on Tattoo Snob?
In regards to the other tattoos, I think we’ll agree to disagree. You don’t appreciate a number of amazing tattoo artists, and that’s unfortunate but you’re entitled to your own opinion.

we’re friends on facebook i know or know of a majority of the tattooers you post. and the artists that you feel i don’t appreciate are not “amazing” people throw that word around and cheapen its meaning. you post a great deal of good tattooers here, not all of them deserve such high praise but they’re good. and when i say something it’s because im pointing out what a non-tattooer doesn’t see. there are trends that inspire newer tattooers to follow the same path. sometimes those tattoos may look good now but won’t hold up leaving the customers unhappy. the more younger and inexperienced artists perpetuate poorly thought out tattoos the more the general public will ask those of us who know better to make those same mistakes. have you tried talking a young girl out of getting a “water color” style cherry blossom tree down her side because in four years it will look like a shapeless shit smear? but she wont listen to you because she saw a picture of it online. you think i’m a hater but all i’m doing is saying what i think should be said

Interesting. I never really thought of the issue from that angle. I don’t say I agree 100%, but I think you have a valid point. While you may have a valid point, the method in which you deliver your message is pure dog shit. Posting underneath an anonymous name on a website and criticizing tattoos makes you look jealous, immature, and people will quickly respond with ‘hater.’

i will be labeled as a hater if you know my name or not. my message is what is important. not whether you would like to pick apart my work or take shots at my appearance, ethnicity, or gender. i have seen good tattooers targeted by the cliques for speaking the unpopular truth about some artists you showcase. the business has turned into a cool kids table of rockstars and sycophants. my arguments and critiques are presented on their own merit. i won’t make any personal attacks on you. and my anonymity keeps you and others from doing the same. all you need to know is what you already know, that i am an american tattooer with a significant number of years of experience and my approximate age should be fairly obvious. i will continue to post as i have been, and if i smell bullshit i will call it
